KJMDesign is a full-service design firm that delivers a forward-thinking approach for your space.  As principal of KJMDesign, Kimberly Melchior has always been passionate about creating universal design that is comfortable & relevant, for the current day and future needs. 

An Ohio native, who relocated to San Diego in her 20s, Kim has always believed that your home should be your haven.  Throughout the next 3 decades, while working in administrative accounting, Kim refined her design skills in her home and the homes of her friends until finally realizing that design was where she was meant to be.  Gaining an Interior Design degree solidified the skills to approach design with both the aesthetic and technical knowledge required.  

Kim’s approach is to create a meaningful environment that embraces the lifestyle and functional needs of her clients, while creating a fresh and curated space to be enjoyed daily.  Existing home pieces are looked at thoughtfully to repurpose in new ways, and sentimental family pieces are always given top priority in the design plan.  From a space refresh to a complete redesign my goals are to complete the desired result in a timely manner and within the budget.
